Participate in a Usability Study of Web-based Tools for Accessible Design

In the recent past, have you either used or helped develop accessibility standards in a professional capacity?

We are conducting an in-person usability evaluation of data-driven web-based design aids developed by our research group at the University of Michigan Center for Ergonomics.

These web-based design aids are intended to provide technical assistance to accessibility standards developers, engineers, and designers in the design of accessible built environments and transportation vehicles for wheeled mobility users.

To be eligible for the study, you must be over 18 years old.

Why should you participate?
We are seeking experts in accessibility standards development and accessible design to evaluate these design aids, and to identify usability problems and opportunities for improvement.

Where will the study happen?

  1. If you are in or close to Ann Arbor, then the study will take place at the Industrial and Operations Engineering (IOE) building located at 1205 Beal Ave, Ann Arbor, MI 48109.
  2. If you are unable to travel to Ann Arbor, the study can happen at your location in an environment with little to minimal distraction such as:
    • Your office room, meeting room, or conference room
    • Collaborative work spaces
    • Quiet cafe or restaurant

How long is the study?
The study will take 60 to 90 minutes.

Will there be a compensation for participation?
